ABOUT US
We are a vibrant and engaged community who come together to advocate, educate, and promote the field of neuropsychology in Connecticut.
FIGHTING for YOU
On January 1st, 2019 new neuropsychological assessment CPT codes were released. Neuropsychologists throughout the state immediately noticed a significant negative impact on their reimbursement. With the help of our lobbyists, we reached out to DSS and identified a computer coding glitch, which we were able to resolve. It was a swift and decisive victory for the Neuropsychology Division, which served to highlight the importance of being organized and connected to CPA’s legislative advocacy apparatus.
The COVID-19 global pandemic forced everyone in healthcare to reinvent how they deliver services, and accelerated the conversation of tele-neuropsychology. Again the CPA Neuropsychology Division was at the forefront of advocating for testing codes to be included, and keeping providers in the state informed throughout the unprecedented health crisis.
These two events have crystalized the critical need for neuropsychologists to be a connected, informed, and active part of CPA to advocate for our professional interests in the state.
CONVENIENT & RELEVANT CE OPPORTUNITIES
We have hosted a number of convenient and clinically relevant CE opportunities, and we have recently joined forces with the Connecticut Neuropsychological Society to offer an annual Neuropsychology Seminar. We hope to see you there!
