Not only are we challenged with the world that moves around us, but the world that moves within us, and who has a say in what we accept. The purpose of this presentation is to better understand the ways that weight stigma is connected to systems of oppression. During this engaging session, we will delve into the pervasive issue of fatphobia and its impact on our society. Our esteemed speaker, Dr. Joy Cox, is an expert in the field and will shed light on the subtle ways fatphobia manifests itself in our daily lives, perpetuating harmful stereotypes and systemic discrimination.
We kindly ask you to share this invitation with your friends, colleagues, and social networks who might be interested in attending this event. The more diverse voices we have in the conversation, the greater the impact we can make.
