Guest of Honor

Anita L. Schepker, Esq. brings over four decades of experience in government relations and has served as the Connecticut Psychological Association’s trusted lobbyist for more than 20 years. A respected and effective advocate, Anita has played a critical role in advancing legislative and regulatory priorities that strengthen the profession of psychology and expand access to mental health care across Connecticut.

Throughout her tenure with CPA, Anita has helped guide psychologists through pivotal moments, including navigating rapidly evolving state and federal policies during the COVID-19 pandemic, securing Connecticut’s participation in PSYPACT, and advancing key initiatives related to reimbursement, licensure, and scope of practice. Her steady leadership and deep understanding of the legislative process have made her an invaluable partner to CPA and its members.

Anita is the founder of Schepker & Associates and currently serves with Capitol Consulting, where she represents a diverse portfolio of clients. She began her career at the Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA), rising to General Counsel, and later served as Senior Vice President for Government Affairs at Connecticut Bank & Trust. She holds degrees from the University of Connecticut, the University of Tulsa College of Law, and St. Joseph’s College.
