CPA’s Child & Family Committee Meeting

TOPIC: Digital Therapeutics for Youth
PRESENTERS: Liz Connelly, one of our CPA Lobbyists from Capitol Consulting has offered us the opportunity to take a peek into the world of digital therapeutics with “KOOTH”. As you know, this industry has been growing at lightening speed and many youth are taking part in one way or another.
On the 23rd, we will hear a presentation from a company that is promoting an app for adolescents, i.e., Kooth. (Please see the attached materials.) This product is being piloted in a few states and the developers are eager to have CT join in the piloting. They will be making presentations to other groups throughout CT.
Please know that the intent of our meeting will be to learn about this product solely as a representation of other such products. We are in no way promoting or endorsing this (or any other) digital therapeutic product. The talk will provide us the opportunity to learn about a platform designed to offer ‘youth mental health support’ and will give us a chance to ask questions.
