Dr. Zelikovsky is a clinical psychologist and the founder of Nourish The Heart Counseling in New Haven, CT. She holds a Doctorate and Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the Florida School of Professional Psychology, a Master’s in Psychopharmacology from The California School of Professional Psychology, and two Master’s degrees in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. Joy completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology and Sociology at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

With experience as a Supervising Psychologist at the University of Southern Mississippi and various college counseling centers, Joy also has a background in private practice and community mental health. As a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist-Supervisor through iaedp, she provides training and supervision for professionals treating eating disorders.

Before founding Nourish The Heart Counseling, Joy served as the Director of Eating Disorder Services at Turnbridge Addiction Treatment, utilizing evidence-based practices to support clients with addiction and eating disorder concerns. Emphasizing a harm reduction approach, Joy believes in respecting clients and supporting their recovery journey.

In addition to her clinical work, Joy teaches at the graduate level, preparing future mental health clinicians.
