Dr. Julia King, Clinical Psychologist & Board Certified Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner

What is keeping you from being able to flourish and thrive?  It could be fear, anxiety, worry, or stress, which may also show up as physical symptoms in your body. You may be struggling to cope with the very real discomfort of a physical condition or illness. It may be a struggle to find motivation or direction, or feeling as though you lack purpose and meaning in your day-to-day life. It may be a constant battle with self-doubt, self-criticism, regret, and perfectionism.

Regardless of the source, these patterns keep you trapped. They prevent you from flourishing, from thriving in growth. They prohibit you from creating — and being consistent with — habits that allow you to feel good on the daily, and to, ultimately, live your best and fullest life. They keep your life small, and serve to distract you from what is truly most important to you.

I am a Clinical Psychologist and a Board Certified Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner (DipACLM). I specialize in the treatment of anxiety disorders and OCD, as well as the connection between anxiety and gut health, with a particular emphasis on treating IBS.  And I love working with clients who struggle to believe they are good enough (spoiler: they definitely already are!).

My passion is working with clients to improve both physical health and emotional wellness with the development of, and commitment to, healthy habits. The only way to long-term change is through small changes done consistently over time. And, very often the way we feel in the moment – physically and emotionally – leads us to make decisions that lead us further and further from our long-term goals and our ideal life; I work with clients to identify, disrupt, and replace those patterns.
